There were significant differences in baseline demographics, and signs and symptoms and comorbidities at hospital admission between patients with and without gastrointestinal symptoms. Upon hospitalization, patients presenting with gastrointestinal symptoms (isolated or along with other non-gastrointestinal symptoms), may have a better prognosis than patients with non-gastrointestinal symptoms.
